The Huntington

A few weeks ago we made a trip to the famous Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens in Pasadena. It was beautiful and we all really enjoyed it. The kids favorite part was the children's garden where they got to play in the water and explore new and fun things.

This is a shot of Tyson's favorite part in the children's garden. Each of these pools of water would squirt water every 10 seconds or so and surprise the kids. Some had fake metal fish on the inside that would lure the kids in and then they would get squirted by water. This was a cool little instrument-we don't know what it is called but there were several metal pipes that ran down this rock wall and when the kids would put a handful of pebbles down there it would make the prettiest noises with the pipes. Jared decided he wants to build one in our dream house someday.

This was Devon's favorite part. It was an enclosed little garden area that would shoot up mist for a few minutes at a time. He could run wild without seeing anything around him. These shots are when the mist is just beginning, but for most of the time we couldn't even see him the mist was so thick.
This is a beautiful area that had several statues and this cool fountain. This garden was in the movie "The Wedding Planner" and was where the wedding that didn't go through was held.
