We decided to let the boys stay up until midnight this year and it was a lot of fun! They did suprisingly well and even at midnight Tyson said he wasn't tired (which he says everynight at bedtime). We played games and Stephenie and the boys made some fun and tasty treats: 7-layer dip, dessert nachos, and magic marshmallow carpets.

Somebody has been busy posting! I love it. New Years sounded fun. I bet the boys loved staying up late. Tell me more about these marshmallow carpets...they sound yummy!
This was a new treat and they were really good. Here it is:
Magical Marshmallow Carpets
1 pack (8 serving) or 2 packs (4 serving) JELL-O Gelatin
1 cup warm water
3 cups mini marshmallows or 12 big ones
-Lighlty grease 9x13
-stir gelatin & water in large bowl & microwave for 2.5 min. stir until dissolved
-stir in marshmallows. microwave 2 min. or until marshmallows are partially melted. stir mixture slowly until marshmallows are completely melted. pour mixture into pan.
-refrigerate 1 hr or until set. cut gelatin into little rectangles. with marshmallow later on top, cut small slits on ea. side of the rectangles to form carpet fringes. garnish w/ sprinkles.
*we used 2 8x8 pans so we could make red & blue magical carpets

This means that D&T both managed to stay up later than I did on New Year's. Looks like they had fun!
