Finally Updated!
We are finally updated with photos from the past 7 months!! Our blog is just one of the things that got ignored when I became pregnant and sick! :) Hopefully I can keep up with everything from here on out! If you have a lot of free time, you can go to our archives on the sidebar to check out the 15 posts that I just posted! :)
First Day of School
On August 9th the boys started school. It was Tyson's first day of Kindergarten with Mr. Spring and Devon's first day of 2nd Grade with Mrs. Williams. They both really like their teachers and are having a great time so far. Kylie and I are enjoying the short time we have alone at home doing preschool.
On the first day, the kindergarteners parents were invited to come to the class to hear Mr. Spring read "The Kissing Hand" to the kids. It was neat to see Tyson's classroom, classmates and teacher.
Camping & Boating Trip
Gualala
In July we had a great trip to Gualala, CA with Grandma and Grandpa Corbridge. It was beautiful and so relaxing. One of Jared's managers owns a home in Gualala and offered to let us stay there. It was an awesome trip! We spent most of our time at the beach and some of the time playing games in the house.
The only thing Kylie wanted to do at the beach was play in the sand and make sand castles. She was super happy doing this for hours. The boys on the other hand spent most of their time collecting shells and catching crabs.
This is the historical Point Arena Lighthouse. It is the tallest lighthouse on the west coast. We got to take a tour of it and walk all the way to the top. The kids were freezing when we got to the top, but it felt great to me :)
These pictures were taken in the backyard of the home where we were staying. It was a gorgeous backyard, and we even had an ocean view. The owners placed bird feeders in the backyard and in the early evening we would see deer eating the bird feed. We snuck around the house, peeking out the windows to get close views of the deer. Very cool! Unfortunately none of my pictures of the deer turned out.. the pictures were blurry from looking out the window.
Fun Summer Days
Kylie and mom had a talk about Kylie's new little sister coming in October. We practiced being gentle with babies, how to hold, feed, change and carry a baby. I love that Kylie loves little babies. It's so fun to see her sweet girliness and motherly instincts.
Kylie fell asleep under this book when she was trying to hide from us at bedtime. She looks a lot like her brother Devon who you can find reading a book most evenings using his nightlight.Kylie getting ready for her first princess birthday party at her friend Roxy's house. She was so excited.
The Hess' came to visit as they were passing through to Lake Tahoe. We had lots of fun hanging out, swimming & chatting. We sure miss them!!!
This was a really cool soccer camp that Devon and Tyson attended. Local firefighters came with their fire truck to spray down the kids after a long hot soccer camp. It was pretty amazing to see how far the hose could spray.
We loved having family stop in and visit this summer... one of the perks of living close to family! :) Here is Aunt Alicia with Kylie. Kylie can't seem to leave Alicia alone whenever she comes. She is so great with the kids!
